Rolls Royce Apparition

At its core, a concept car must be a game changer, impressive and above all stunning. Jeremy Westerlund’s ultra futuristic design on a classic Rolls Royce vehicle remains as one of the most outstanding independent concept project of the year.

As a student at the Art Center of the School of Design, Westerlund designed the Rolls Royce Apparition emphasizing sharp geometric lines, a smooth body with an empire like hood and large, mahogany inserts 23-inch wheels.

While the concept car is a highly contemporary piece, it is still reminiscent of its predecessors, like the1930’s Roller with its compartment for a spare wheel on the side door. Westerlund has cleverly reinterpreted the piece by placing the spare tire quietly tucked away near the hood of the car.

The model also sports an open cockpit for the driver and the twin rear windows that mirror the shape of the headlight.

If Rolls Royce has not already signed this young man onto their excellent design team, then the company may be missing-out on one of the most refreshing rising designers of the auto industry.
