We cannot possibly overstate the beauty and tranquility of this place. With a population of 946 inhabitants, the town is well preserved with a few boutiques selling merchandise from local craftmen.

Port Douglas’ tropical climate, with warm summers and warm winters, is another alluring attraction of this bespoke town, if one could use such adjective to describe a location. Sporty people can go fly a kite, kite-surfing that is, along the four mile beach popular during the winter when trade winds blow from the South. The town is adjacent to the the Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest, so scuba diving and snorkeling are just around the corner.
