The Beocom 2
The Beocom 2
Bang & Olufsen’s latest magnum opus, the Beocom 2, defies the classical design of a telephone. That bulky piece of plastic machinery sitting on top of a table next to the telephone book is now rendered obsolete.
Arriving into the fore with a mere 36 by 321 mm frame, the Beocom 2 is crafted solely from one piece of aluminum that deftly arches alongside the human face and sits delicately in the hand. Up to 7 different smart and sleek metallic colors are available, but it is the functions of the telephone as well as the style that truly sets it apart.
Already coming with caller ID, the Beocom 2 also allows redial access to the last 24 incoming and outgoing numbers. At the root of its power is a simple base platform from where up to 8 individual handsets can emanate from.
The charger can either be plugged into the wall or mounted unobtrusively on a table from which the handsets are cordless. Outdoors, the roaming capabilities can reach up to 300 meters, while indoors the range is limited to 50 meters.
Intelligently, the Beocom 2 is designed so that each handset is able to share a common internal telephone book, which can save up to 200 different contacts.
Offering free calls between handsets, the Beocom 2 has arrived to make things a little bit easier, efficient and certainly more sleek.
