Earthrace Technology

By achieving their goal of circumnavigating the globe while using 100 percent renewable biodiesel fuel, Earthrace has drawn global attention in their effort to bring awareness to the potential of alternative fuel sources.

The group set a new world record by circumventing the globe in 60 days 23 hours and 49 minutes, beating the previous record by nearly 14 days.

The total journey was 24, 000 nautical miles fueled by biodiesel, making a strong case for the efficiency of renewable fuel.

Next stop for this powerboat is a tour of the Caribbean and the U.S. from October to December 2008, followed by Australia and New Zealand from December 2008 to March 2009. Throughout their tour, Earthrace will continue to promote the advantage of alternative resources.
