A winner of many international competitons and the first woman ever to receive the coveted Pritzker Architecture Prize, Zaha Hadid’s architectural genius is world renowned.

As a deconstructivist architect, Zaha has designed a number of buildings including the BMW Central Building in Germany, the Bergisel Ski Jump in Austria, and the Signature Towers, formerly known as the Dancing Towers, in Dubai.

This notable British Iraqi-born architect has taught in numerous prestigious institutions worldwide, as well as held the Kenzo Tange Chair at the Graduate School of Design at Harvard University.

Among her latest works is her design for Chanel’s Mobile Art Exhibit. Zaha designed a collapsible exhibition space in the shape of a shell where fifth-teen international artists will display their pieces inspired by Chanel handbags.

Karl Lagerfeld, Creative Director for Chanel, personally sought Zaha for her vision and sense of style. The exhibition is currently in Central Park New York until November 9th. The piece then moves to London, Moscow, and Paris respectively.

Zaha Hadid is largely respected as an architectural hero, a champion for women, and an innovative leader. This past April, She won the international competition to design the Vilnius Guggenheim Museum, in Lithuania. We look forward to see more of her work realized.
