In the U.S., the B&MGF will pursue educational endeavors to expand access to information technology and also fund technology based research studies.

As the largest private foundation in the world, B&MGF has an endowment of $38.7 billion. The foundation differs from others by incorporating business techniques to achieve philanthropic goals, this method is also known as venture philanthropy.

We believe Bill Gates is an outstanding man in an outstanding period of human history for this reason we include him as one of the most influential people for 2008.
