Marathon French Riviera

The Marathon Des Alpes-Maritimes will run along the Côte d’Azur from Nice to Cannes this November 8th, 2009. The route is 100% seaside from the Promenade des Anglais, in Nice to the Palais des Festivals et des Congrés, in Cannes. You would be hard pressed to find another more beautiful route covering 26 miles (or 42.195km) of sea, palm trees, and sun.

The race will celebrate its second consecutive year. Its first successful edition attracted a total of 10, 411 registered runners from all parts of France and around the world. A total of about 30,000 spectators lined the marathon’s route cheering on runners and dancing to the small music festivals set up along the coast.

If you ever had the thought, as we often do at Gloobbi, to run a marathon this is the perfect place and setting to do it, right along the French Riviera.
