London International Boat Show 2010

An extravaganza for boat-lovers, the 56th annual Tullett Prebon London International Boat Show will be kicking off on the 8th of January 2010 and will last nine days through the 17th. This highly awaited boat show will be held at London’s ExCel center, which is situated on a 100-acre site on the northern quay of the Royal Victoria Dock.

This location caters to those who have their sea legs; visitors have the option of arriving by boat and docking their vessel center-side, making for a more authentic boat show experience.

For those who aren’t satisfied with being on the water and would prefer to dive right in, there is a SCUBA exhibit, complete with a large diving tank! There are however, plenty of activities and exhibits for landlubbers. The Fairline Entertainment show stage will provide a wide range of entertainment from dancing, to films, to expert panels.

There are also two races every year that have become a popular staple at the show and draw in a big crowd of spectators: The Ovington Skiff Grand Prix and the British Sailing: Battle of the Classes Pursuit Race. The Boat Show offers the latest in all kinds of boats such as powerboats, dinghies, sailing yachts and classic boats. You can also find the latest in boating gear, accessories and clothing.

While there are many exhibits and events that are expected every year, there are also one-time participants. This year, the most highly anticipated event at the boat show is the impressive Yamaha Power boat and RIB Marina exhibit.

Yamaha and RIB have gathered more than 30 top-of-the-line outboard and stern drive powered boats in the single largest assortment of small power craft ever to be put on display on one stand at the show. Boat lovers worldwide are encouraged to attend.
