Transforming Vampire Chic Into Christmas Glamour

Transforming Vampire Chic Into Christmas Glamour

With the release of the second installation of the Twilight Saga, everyone has embraced vampire chic. The pale skin, red lips and all black couture have littered the red carpet for the past two weeks. But, do you really want to look like you were resurrected from the dead at the Christmas trollop?

You can follow the example of team Jacob and transform yourself from Bride of Dracula into the Belle of the ball by mixing both statements.

Instead of thinking all Goth, sink your teeth into the jewel tones of the season. Rich amethyst, royal emerald and simmering amber will capture any skin tone and reflect a sensuality of difference. For those still armoring for black, marry it to vibrant sienna or an opulent ruby. Use color to create a statement instead of becoming fodder for office talk.

Large gems on fingers and multi strands around the neck and wrist will invite the right attention. Use estate or period pieces of jewelry to convey a regal yet tempting vision.

Men don’t be intimidated by color. These vibrant tones can be coupled with black suits to create that air of sophistication and mystery. It would certainly make you stand out from the sea of penguins.

Burnt oranges, majestic blues even flamboyant fuchsias peeking out from a top pocket, slung around the neck, hidden under a jacket or worn boldly as a jacket depending on one’s comfort level, seduces and attracts even the most prudish female at the office.

So, color is the key to opening the door to this season of love and mirth. Accessorize with colorful bags, wraps and shoes, if donning black or white. Décolletage dresses in jewel tones will steal the spotlight. And men bite into color this season, not just your date’s neck.
