Roland Mouret’s Eye-candy

Roland Mouret’s Eye-candy

Roland Mouret knows fashion, he knows women, and most importantly he knows how to dress women. It is not surprise then that his latest venture into the short-skirted cocktail dress is sheer eye-candy.

Mouret and Net-a-Porter’s relationships is yet another in a long line of successful collaboration between high-fashion designers and online retailers. Dubbed the RM by Roland Mouret Rainbow Project, the 9-piece collection was launched on Decmber 2nd to plenty of fanfare.

After women all over the world clamored over Victoria Beckham’s moon dress, they couldn’t wait to see Mouret’s name on a dress again. This time he has once again come out with dresses that seem to be perfectly tailored to the feminine physique. The tailored short skirts and body-sculpting dresses are presented in loud colors that could liven up any party.

Yet Mouret hasn’t finished with his work just yet. He has recently announced that by January 10th 2010, he will for the very first time come out with a menswear line. And if he can tailor to men like he does to women, then I’m already waiting to be fitted.

Making its debut this January in Paris, not too much has been revealed about this upcoming line, but as the whispers from the grapevine say, to no great surprise, it will feature tailoring and separates. If the Rainbow Project is anything to go by, one imagines strong colors, and a sleek and sexy fit.

Lately, Roland Mouret has proven himself to be on the apex of a highly creative period in his life. With women and now men being able to sport his latest garments, 2010 already looks like a classy year.
