Hermès, London

Hermès’ flagship store on New Bond Street, London, is causing a lot of heads to turn and admire the boutique’s holiday installation, called SilverForest. Hermès has teamed-up with the architectural firm DSDHA to partially recreate the boundary line that separated the city from the start of the forest, back in the early eighteenth century.

The team has cleverly erected eighteen silver trees along the pavement around the store, remarking the spot where the shop stood in the forest. Another eighteen silver birch trees adorn the ground floor and window display.

It is no secret that Hermès is one of our favorite lifestyle companies, so with much bias, we believe the temporary pieces are a brilliant idea.
