Damir Doma

The Croatian designer Damir Doma is a breath of fresh air in fashion. Mentored by Raf Simons, Damir has been able to create a modernand sensative style for men. His line is about restructuring men’s fashion by decomposing the suit.

As a self-proclaimed “fabric freak, ” he is meticulous in his selection of fabrics, focusing mainly on soft silhouettes for reconstruction. Shoulder pads are one of his biggest pet peas and he refuses stiffness or immovable structures in his pieces.

His efforts are to built a balance label where continuity is a key theme. Damir dislikes the idea of breaking up the collection every season. He prefers to renew pieces and not to alter his color themes, contesting that it is better to build a huge collection all the way.
