Christophe Lemaire’s Wood Necklace
Christophe Lemaire’s Wood Necklace
If you rely on the thousands of late-adolescent bloggers writing about post-modern aesthetes with questionable ideas of originality and a reflex camera to find something that can be considered a ‘must-have,’ then you may be missing out on some truly noteworthy pieces.
What we need is not another “wish list” of the latest shiny pieces that both glitters and gold, often along a rather tasteless level, but real craftsmanship from dedicated designers and fashion curators.
What we need is good judgment and professionalism, and standard criteria to decipher what should be deemed as high fashionable items from those less developed concepts.
Many of you may point out that that is the role of the big, long established fashion magazines, with prominent characters and top level figures in le monde de la mode. Yet, the prominence these rising “trend-setters’ enjoy, who profess to have refined sensitivity toward fashion and the beauties, cannot be denied.
The gap these bloggers fill signals a change in the industry, perhaps boredom with the establishment and their dated methods of reaching the fashion aficionados. Whatever it may be, change is clearly underway as more bloggers are defining the future of the multibillion dollar global fashion industry.
At Gloobbi, we will do our best to bring you only the more selective and quality focused pieces, without bombarding our readers with new items for the sake of “newness.”
Consider this stunning piece by Christophe Lemaire, a wood necklace entirely made of black wooden beads. Its corkiness is an unexpected detail that seems to be grasping at the bosoms, a figure complete with all the joints of a human hand.
The human anatomy maybe a little more difficult to explain in its entirety, unless we are talking about vertebrae-heels or ribcage details, but the quality of the materials along with its specifications and detail make this a truly unique piece.
