Berlin Fashion Week 2010

During the last decade Berlin has truly emerged as one of the leading cultural epicenters in Europe. It holds a reputation as being one of the more youthful and vibrant capitals, attracting a supernova of artistic creativity and experimentation.

The Berlin Fashion Week is no different. Though still relatively young, this is only the sixth edition of Berlin Fashion Week; it has already forged a reputation for bold originality and innovation.

Berlin Fashion Week has continued to grow, with a great number of new and established names have already been slated in for exclusive shows and premieres.

Respected lables BOSS Black and JOOP! will showcase their collections offsite, while a high number of exciting, younger designers will take center stage on the main catwalks.

Sam Frenzel, winner of last summer’s Designer for Tomorrow program, which is held every year in conjunction with fashion week, is in the spotlight after winning the high-profile competition and is set to present his vision with the help of Peek & Cloppenburg.

Other mouth-watering prospects include the fashion debut of ic! berlin, who are known for their cutting-edge glasses, and Kilian Kerner presents the very first line of the new brand No Ifs, of which he is the head designer.

From January 20th to the 23rd, expect the fashion world to converge and take over the German capital, waiting once more to see what new grounds will be broken.
