Uovo D’argentis and Uovo D’oro

The Uovo D’argentis and Uovo D’oro is the latest creation of Czech designer Rony Plesl for the light manufacturing firm Lasvit. The pieces are hand blown glass chandeliers drenched in silver and gold.

The shape of the chandeliers is a running theme that Plesl continues to explore. Uovo may be the firm’s defining feature. Using Uranium glass, Plesl has created striking vases, glasses and objects that have a rare quality of reflecting their surroundings.

His items change from soft lime sheen in daylight, vibrant fluorescent yellow under spot light, to a ghostly glow under UV light.
