Quark Dining Table

Quark Dining Table

Damian Barton’s Quark Dining Table is ultra-modern. Its clean, sterile lines are created by seamlessly joining to identical opposing cut and rolled aluminum plates, creating a second level for storage. The very light weight aluminum table is available in a variety of durable coated colors and, oddly, comes with removable legs.

Having seen his designs it comes as no surprise that Damian Barton’s primary degree was in industrial design before he continued on to study furniture making. However, he has always been very driven and passionate about what he is creating. In fact he opened his first studio the year that he began his degree in industrial design in Perth. Currently, he works in Miami.

Barton describes his work as the “fusing of function with welcoming forms”. While the Quark Dining Table might be functional it is hard to see where the welcoming aspect enters this design.
