It has been entitled “the sweetest spot on the upper west side” of Manhattan, Silver Moon Bakery is a local favorite for its continuous dedication to freshly baked goods.

This November, the bakery will celebrate its twelve-year anniversary on 105th Street and Broadway, enticing New Yorkers and tourists alike with warm croissants, breakfast muffins, Bavarian pretzels and almond macaroons.

If you are passionate about chocolate, Silver Moon’s Pure Decadence Chocolate Cake is the perfect treat for any occasion. It is a super rich, creamy, double fudge chocolate cake filled with chocolate mouse and topped with chocolate ganache.

If that is not enough chocolate for you, try the shop’s Sacher Torte, a classic three-layer chocolate cake with raspberry preserve filling covered in chocolate ganache.

Not enough chocolate for you? Silver Moon also makes a delicious Chocolate Mousse Cake, which is a pure chocolate mousse over a layer of almond dacquoise, covered with dark and light chocolate triangles.

For non-chocolate lovers, do not despair, the bakery also offers an assortment of home-baked tarts, like Lemon Meringue Tart (specially order only), Oatmeal Raisin Cookies and Palmiers.

Apart from all of these mouth-watering delicacies, the shop is one of the few bakeries in the city with traditional baguettes, ciabatta and apricot-hazelnut Parisienne bread.

Additionally, customers can find all natural jams made from rhubarb, black currant and peaches from Beth’s Farm.
