Ground Support, New York

Right on the corner of West Broadway, between Spring Street and Broome Street, is a little quaint coffee shop called Ground Support. Here, amongst Soho’s shopping scene and contemporary art galleries, you will find one of the best coconut-pineapple carrot muffins in town.

Ground Support is the brain child of Steven Sadoff who wanted to develop a comfortable space to drink a excellent brewed coffee and grab a delicious snack like a cauliflower sandwich, in the heart of Soho.

The space is welcoming with smooth cedar picnic tables built from repurposed wood from Washington State, a zinc bar and bench acquired through the Department of Parks & Recreations. It all amounts to a peaceful location, with little pretentiousness and a friendly staff.

Ultimately, it is a place to enjoy a carefully crafted snack like Grandaisy croissants and raspberry thumbprint cookies, or a fresh salad and light sandwich for a nutritious lunch.
