Georges Larnicol, Paris

The recently opened chocolate and sweets shops by Chocolatier Georges Larnicol are an exciting addition to the Paris chocolate scene. Known for his anthropomorphic chocolate structures and figurines of fish, bassets, dolls, stilettos and purses, Chef Larnicol has brought back the fun to the biscuiterie and chocolaterie world.

Most of the traditional sweets are still on the menu like an assortment of delicious macarons, but the Breton chocolatier also brings a taste from home to Paris with his famous bretonne de galettes croquantes with almonds, hazelnuts and raisins.

You will also find wonderfully salted caramels and a buttery kouign-amann, another specialty pastry treat from Brittany.

You can find these chocolate heavens on boulevard Saint-Germain and rue Rivoli, but be warned restrain is of the essence.
