Bettina Sellmann’s work is back on display at the Derek Eller Gallery in Chelsea through January 10th, 2009. This will be Sellmann’s fourth installation at the gallery. The German born artist is know for her use of watercolors to create translucent versions of Old Master paintings.

In her new pieces, Sellmannhas experimented with bold colors, more abstract drawings, and sexuality. According to Sellmann, the theme for her exhibition, called “Taina . cosmogeny . make your own paper dragon,” is to explore an individuals’ place in the world and ones motivations.
