“208 OSEOsidades”

“208 OSEOsidades”

Artist Saúl Hernández, from Guadalajara, Mexico, has created an extraordinary collection of 21 bronze sculptures each measuring 21 centimeters in height. He has been able to successfully transform the somewhat eerie image of the human skeleton into a more softer, emotional character.

The skeletons are represented in different every day attitudes, like holding onto a fleeing love, thinking, playing a guitar, and making love.

All of the sculptures are mounted on a marble, onyx, or stainless steel base. Saúl created the pieces in bronze with a wax of silver, a treatment used for jewelry. He works from his studio, Saúl Hernández H & M Foundry, in Zapopan, Mexico.

The exhibition, entitled “208 OSEOsidades”, is on display at the interior of the Congress Building of the State of Guanajuato, but you could see the rest of the sculptures by clicking here.
